SPEDHIRE in Sæby started up in February 2016 and is specifically directed toward suppliers and recipients in need of fast and reliable transportation of smaller consignments. The services are executed on round-the-clock basis seven days a week.
Holder: Jens Petersen
Jens Petersen has more than 30 years of experience in the transport industry in Denmark and abroad.
Jens has an apprentice training in shipping and trading from The East Asiatic Company Ltd. (EAC). Later, he has through his various positions accumulated rich experience in import/export, transportation, freight forwarding, logistics as well as system implementation, organizational development and change management.
For 13 years until January 2015, Jens has been with Maersk in Norway, Latin America and the Middle East.
Jens has also for several years operated SPEDHIRE in Norway. Here the services mainly consisted of consultancy and temporary services within freight forwarding and logistics. The customers were some of Norway's largest players in the transport sector including NorCargo, ASG, Tollpost, DFDS and UPS.
Jens's competence within the courier and parcels segment comes from DHL, DPD and UPS.
